A visit from the UCLA Spin Lab

We had a fun visit from the UCLA Spin Lab this week. Professor Jon Arnou was joined by his students Austin Chadwick and Tim Pilegard. They brought in an ultraLDV from 2007. It was the first of it’s kind that Dariush and MSE team built their organization.

They also showed off a turntable (DJ style) and a round tank to be placed on top which creates a rotating flow. The rotating tank mimics the vibration of the molten core of the planet Mercury.
